Hey folks!
Welcome to Day 27 of 30 Days of Scratching. For a full overview please visit 30 Days of Scratching Day 1.
Day 27
Beat used: Optimist Instrumental by NZ band Opensouls.
Today’s beat was supplied by Amy Bassett who is an awesome lady I met at the Red Bull Music Academy and all round kick ass person. Check her mixes out at https://soundcloud.com/themanyfoxes. She always brings the dope beats! Thanks for the link on this one Amy!
Scratch Record Used: Super Seal in the 4th Dimension.
Background Info
The end of today’s video is cut off because my SD card was full up of the previous days scratching videos which I forgot to check and delete.
I have kept the end of this video as just audio where I am scratching up the sample “cut like a guillotine” rather than not include it.
I have also edited / chopped out some sections out of this video where I was finding samples (I have got used to using the cue buttons on the TTM 57sl, but today I used a real scratch record as opposed to control vinyl.) I have grown to like using the cue buttons to line up samples as I find that I can keep my flow better.

Your Turn!
If you would like to join me in this challenge (it’s not too late), post links to your own practice videos in the comments below. Tag your videos on social networks with #studioscratches and #30DaysOfScratching. You don’t have to do the full 30 days so feel free to dip in and out posting your videos where you want to, but it would be super awesome to have you along as company for the full 30 days! Who knows where you might end up!
If you have a beat suggestion or want to send me cool beats to use in this challenge, please email me via the contact page.
If you have any questions please let me know.
See you tomorrow!
Happy Scratching! 😀
