Welcome to episode 14 of my DJcity “Scratch Combo of the Month”. I’m a bit late posting this one! Here it is in case you missed it or are looking through the archives.
This month we combine Forwards, Transforms, a Reverse and sandwich a Boomerang in the middle to create this bouncy combo.
Learning the individual scratches that make up this combo first will definitely help. If you need help with that I recommend diving into my School of Scratch.
If you are a regular crossfader scratch DJ, I recommend learning the individual techniques listed in the breakdown first, then putting them all together using this video as a guide. You do not have to be a hamster / reverse crossfader style DJ to do this combo. It is for everyone! I have a guide to help regular scratch DJs learn with me here.
Have fun with it!

Beat
Thanks to Redefinition Records for providing official use of the beat. It’s no secret that Damu’s beats are some of my all time favourites.
Bonus
The reason this post is somewhat delayed in publishing is I was in L.A. for a month. I got to finally link up and visit Djcity in person and they had me jump on the decks and do a live stream which was super fun and an honour to cut it up in the studio where I have watched all the greats rock out. Thanks Styles Davis and the rest of the crew!
