Welcome to episode 6 of my DJcity “Scratch Combo of the Month”.
This month we will be using 3 mostly simple techniques to create something fresh and new!
Learning the individual scratches that make up this combo first will definitely help. If you need help with that I recommend diving into my School of Scratch.
Have fun with it!
Repeat part 1 in full, 3 times.
To finish off the combo and add some contrast we do the part 1a once:
- forward dice
- reverse dice
- at this point, instead of doing the drag and release that we did previously, we do 3 transforms.
RR (Record Release) Scratch Notation
I’m using a new form of notation. Created by myself and GoldVoltron. We are calling it RR Notation. RR stands for Record Release. It tracks the moment of the record.
A line at the end of the arrow means the fader is closed. No line at the end of the arrow means the fader is open. Still in development. Let me know if you have any questions.
If you would like to learn more scratch combos, or maybe you are just starting out and need help with the basics, I’ve got you covered with my online School of Scratch. It contains my very best tutorials and a complete how to scratch course which takes you from beginner to advanced level.
Sign up below to receive some full length tutorials from inside the school and start your scratch journey today.
Happy Scratching! 😀
