Welcome to episode 8 of my DJcity “Scratch Combo of the Month”.
This month we use some Swing flares and Stabs to create another funky combo.
Learning the individual scratches that make up this combo first will definitely help. If you need help with that I recommend diving into my School of Scratch.
If you are a regular crossfader scratch DJ, I recommend learning the individual techniques listed in the breakdown first, then putting them all together using this video as a guide. You do not have to be a hamster / reverse crossfader style DJ to do this combo. It is for everyone!

Breakdown
- Swing flare -4 sounds
- Stab – 1 sound
- Stab – 1 sound
- Swing flare – 4 sounds
Repeat this pattern 4 times, then end with an extra:
- Forward and reverse dice
which switches up the pattern and signifies the end of the 4 bars.

Electrofood – The Elements 90th Looper – Beat #100 (103 bpm). Possibly DJ Food “Some Drum”.
