I fail. All the time. I love it. Here is an example of me failing to record the intro and outro for the latest School of Scratch stutter vocal cuts tutorial:
“Yo Emma, why are you sharing this”, you might ask.
First of all, I love to bring a smile to your face – when we feel good we scratch good and are open to new ideas.
Second of all, I believe we can learn so much from failing. If I can go first and show you that it’s ok to fail, maybe you can do the same and learn and grow as a result.
The only way I am learning to be on camera is to BE on camera and get comfortable failing an awful lot. I find it amusing now.
You are going to fail when learning to scratch. It’s a constant process.
How can YOU embrace failure to propel you forward? Maybe it’s learning a new scratch, starting to record your sessions to assess what you need to work on, or maybe we take it out into a wider context and apply it to something outside of scratching in our lives.
If you want to dive in deeper, here is one of my fav articles about learning how to fail:
Have fun, be willing to fail, learn and grow and most importantly…
Get your happy scratching ON! 😀
