I am frequently asked “Will the Innofader will fit into my mixer?” (For anyone wondering what an Innofader is, it is a high performance crossfader built specifically for scratch DJs, designed to replace your existing crossfader.)

Funny you should do a post on the innofader cuz I just installed one in my denon x1600 last week… And wow it’s like complete night and day in terms of performance and satisfaction 😉
I’m no stranger to taking gear apart and tweaking or repairing it, but I was intimidated by this install at first, however the “pnp” model makes life much easier than the original innofader. IMHO as long as the instructions are followed carefully, it’s smooth sailing. The cheapest I’ve seen was on eBay for $135+s/h or better yet on amazon for $125 shipped. So far this thing totally rocks cuz it responds to even the slightest adjustments so there’s really no excuse for anyone to be dissatisfied whatsoever unless it was improperly installed. Just my 2cents…

I have the Behringer DDM400 which has a digital crossfader, is there any benefit is getting the infofader for it?
Hey, I’m not sure really. I think if Innofader are putting it on the list then probably yeh. I couldn’t find exactly what kind of fader is in the Behringer. I was in the same position last year w/my old ddm4000. I discovered that this mixer comes stock with only a low grade vca xfader, and the “X1 optical fader” is just an available $50 upgrade. I ultimately regret buying the x1 and not getting an innofader right away because the X1 feels cheap at best while the innofader is both universal and second to none hands down! installed the new pnp in my denon dnx1600 to replace the factory flex fader and its still literally like butter in comparison! The innofader will be the best thing u could do for ur ddm4000 & every future mixer u get…
Thank you for posting this bit of info, because I’ve been doing some research for the last two years on up grading my mixer(Numark DM1020) and I came a cross the Innofader pro.
I was looking at the PMC 06 or TTM 56 or 57 at the time but the Innofader pro look like a good option because you can now transform a basic mixer like mine into a proper skratch mixer.
My only concern at the time was that I really haven’t seen any proper reviews or demonstrations on the product( I know are a few vid out but I felt more of a promo vide to the videos.) and as we all know,when investing in equipment we really cant make a mistake due to the cost of the products.
Short-e whats your take on the Innofader PRO(have you use it before and does it with stand the abuse of a turntablist) because I haven’t made the investment yet and i would like an honest opinion.

The Innofader is a really great fader. If I had to replace my fader in my Rane TTM57, i would get the innofader. Your other option though is to get the DJ Tech DIF-1S which is a mixer at a very low price with a mini innofader inside. I bought one and can say its awesome for the money and not much more than the innofader pro. Hope that helps. – Short-E
I have the Allen & Heath PX5 and although the Allen & Heath website states the Innofader Pro 2 is compatible and easy to install IT DEFINATELY ISN’T. I bought an Innofader Pro 2 and there’s no adapter to use it with the PX5 mixer regardless of Allen & Heath saying the mixer is compatible and the Innofader site saying it works in the PX5 mixer. I’ve phoned Allen & Heath who told me it’s not their problem and Audio Innovate who said to contact Allen & Heath so it appears as though once both companies have got your money no-one cares if their products work.
