Learning in Slow Motion to Deepen Your Understanding

October 27, 2019

I am pleased to announce that all of our School of Scratch video tutorials / scratch technique masterclasses now feature playback speed controls enabling students to slow down the video so they can follow along very slowly in order to make learning as simple as possible.

The video controls are shown at the bottom right of this image:

0.5x speed and 0.75 x speeds are available for slow and deliberate learning and practice:

You can also speed up playback should you desire. I talk and teach slowly and if you are already familiar with what I am explaining, you may wish to watch at 1.25x, 1.5x or 2x speed, to get to the technique breakdown or next section of teaching.

Our students especially love this feature for the many scratch combos I teach which gives them full control over the pace at which they learn.

If you would like to try out our scratch tutorials / masterclasses and the playback speed adjustment feature, you can sign up below to receive 2 free scratch tutorials from our online School of Scratch and try out the playback speed adjustment feature for yourself.

Leaving you with something I often repeat to my students: slow down to speed up, slow is fast, fast is slow!

Happy Scratching! 😀
